How can I use WOFF2 on my website?

You add the @fontface parameter in your css-file example:

@font-face {
font-family: “AlexYOFF”;
src: url(‘yourwebsitefolder/AlexYOFF.woff2’) format(‘woff2’
}

Then you reference the css in the html. In the example below the body-tag will render with the font AlexYOFF with size 42px

Will my visitors be able to see the WOFF2-font?

96.4% of your visitors will have support for the woff2-format.

WOFF 2.0 is implemented in all major browsers.

IE and Opera mini lacks support for WOFF2.

Licensing options

Desktop License:

Permits installation on the number of units you purchased the license for. Permits using the font for normal use in all applications where fonts can be used. One computer = one user.

Webfont License:

Permits use on one domain that has to be specified upon purchase of webbfont. This license cannot be transferred and has to be renewed if the domain changes. If the primary use is for static images on a website – it’s the desktop license you should purchase instead.

Example:

You purchased 10,000 pageviews/month and your total pageviews/month is 250. Your license will then cover 40 months before renewal is necessary.

I purchased a font with desktop license – can I embed it in a e-document?

No. You will need an electronic document-license. Contact me for information.

Can I install woff2 on my server for customers to use?

If the purpose is that customers create text on sold objects (T-shirts, mugs etc.) you will need a server-license. Contact me for more information.
